Bismarck to Garrison

Registration began around two o'clock at Fort Stevenson. I told Jesse, the guy I'm camping with this week, that I would meet him around nine o'clock tonight. I had a wedding anniversary party to attend and was late. The party ran long and I got to camp well after dark. Luckily, Jesse found me without difficulty and we set up camp in the dark.

Because I arrived late, I didn't get to catch up with friends I've met on the previous tours. Not to worry though. I have all week to enjoy the tour.

This is my fifth time on the CANDISC tour, but the route is new this year. Most of the routes in the past have been in the western portion of the state. This year, it heads east towards Devils Lake and back again. I imagine this route will be more flat than the others. In fact, I admit I expect less of this year's route than the past years. There is not much I am aware of between the Red River and the Missouri, aside from farmland. Even so, the week will be fun.
